Canadian Eve Wolvës is a Death Doula; analogue photographer and painter currently based in the Pacific North West.

Growing up in the wilds of Vancouver Island in British Columbia; nature was a pivotal education towards their creativity and spirituality which continues to influence their art and practice as a holistic Death Doula.

Respecting the fragility of our mortality; Eve approaches their practice as a death doula with empathy, compassion, love and tenderness throughout the labour of life into death.

In 2015, Eve began the process of becoming a Funeral Director but came to realize that their skills were centered towards offering care to those labouring out of life.

In 2016, Eve completed their Reiki Certification and began the process of studying the practice of becoming a Death Doula and learning holistic and varying cultural practices towards death and funeral services.

Eve offers support to caregivers and loved ones as they experience what can be an overwhelming time of grief and unknowns.

Their art focuses on the concept of identity, sexuality, mortality and the life / death / life cycle; dismantling gender tropes and exploring how our emotions implicate our realities. They incorporate their personal narrative as a queer, non-binary individual while documenting the politics of their gender(s) and physical body; toxic masculinity and misogyny; empowerment of sexuality and sensuality; the fragility of being human and the vulnerability of life.

Eve's paintings and photographs have had the honour to show in a variety of galleries internationally and in numerous publications throughout North America.

Eve is a graduate of the Victoria College of Art and Design (VCAD) and the prestigious Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD).
